Why I Created Network Launch
Network Launch didn’t start as a program or a brand. It started as a personal solution to a problem I lived through repeatedly as a military spouse.
With every relocation came the same challenge: arriving in a new city without a professional network. No local connections. Just experience, ambition, and the hope that someone would give me a chance. Over time, I realized this wasn’t just my story. Military spouses, transitioning service members, and veterans face the same barrier again and again. And as fewer Americans have a direct connection to military service, the military-civilian divide continues to grow, leading to a greater disconnect to transferrable experience and understanding about military life.
I tried what was available. Career fairs felt transactional and impersonal. Virtual events lacked warmth and follow-through. Structured hiring programs often felt intimidating and disconnected from real life. What was missing wasn’t talent or effort, it was human connection.
So I began hosting informal networking gatherings built around simplicity, inclusivity, and authenticity. These weren’t job fairs or professional conferences. They were welcoming spaces where people could have real conversations, ask for advice, and build trust without pressure. The goal was simple: create an environment where people felt comfortable showing up.
The results were undeniable.
One job seeker shared, “I had been looking for employment for over six months with no luck getting an interview or a foot in the door. After the first Network Launch event, I got an interview for a position that had just been posted, based on a conversation.”
On the employer side, Jackie Fisher from Arnott said, “After attending the event, I was able to fill a hard-to-fill position for an engineer at Arnott.”
Stories like these are the reason we keep doing this.
Network Launch works because people keep showing up, and because it delivers results. Employers are hiring talented people they weren’t reaching through traditional channels. Job seekers are getting interviews after months of stalled searches. Entrepreneurs are finding mentors, collaborators, and clients. Real outcomes are happening because real relationships are being built.
What began as a grassroots effort has grown into Network Launch, a nationwide initiative and a formal program of Project Solvers. As CEO of Project Solvers, I bring structured, results-driven execution rooted in project management principles to ensure Network Launch remains scalable, professional, and consistent, while never losing its people-centered heart. Events are led by local military connected entrepreneurs with deep community insight, supported by a national team, and sustained through a hybrid (national and local) sponsorship model.
